Microsoft Exchange Management PowerShell must be installed [7938-120-1-00000000] (4253691)

Despite having all prerequisites installed, the following message is displayed in the Exchange Server part of the Migrator for Notes to Exchange (MNE) GUI:

Exchange System Manager must be installed on this workstation to perform certain Active Directory operations.

When migrating a user, the following dialog box is displayed

This error can be caused by installing Exchange Management Tools after MNE or MFG.

WORKAROUND 1

Please go to the 'Exchange Server' section in MNE and confirm that the correct Exchange target version is selected.

WORKAROUND 2

If the correct version of Exchange is configured as target type correctly, please try to re-register the PSHMEx.dll's and try again:

Migrator for Notes to Exchange (MNE) :

Please replace the "XXXXX" above with the actual folder name on the computer.

Then try the action again.

WORKAROUND 3

Restart the IIS service on the Exchange server

WORKAROUND 4

Open PowerShell on the migration admin workstation. Enter the command "Get-Host". Verify that the Powershell version is 2.0.

If unsuccessful, uninstall MNE/ MFG and perform a full re-install of the latest release.

You can take a copy of the ini file prior to uninstalling. Once re-installed the copied data can be pasted into the new ini file - this will remove the need to recomplete all of the default settings information in the migration tool.
