Can a mailbox store be removed from being monitored in Diagnostic Console?
This may be required in the event that the store has been dismounted on purpose and there is a requirement not to be alerted on the status of this store
1. Launch Diagnostic Console.
2. Go to Storage Groups | Right-click on the name of the Mailbox Store in question | Metrics... | make a note of the value in the 'Component' field (pay particular attention to the EDBx string - e.g. it will say EDB1 or EDB2, etc) | Click Cancel
3. Under Storage Groups right-click on the red ball next to the Storage Group that the mailbox store in question belongs to (it will be red because the Mailbox Store is dismounted) | Metrics... | Uncheck the Store x Status tick box (if the value in step 2 above contained the string EDB1 then uncheck Store 1 Status, if it was EDB2 then uncheck Store 2 Status, etc) | Click OK
4. Remember to undo the above process when the mailbox store is mounted back online to allow SoM report on it accurately
