Export Directory is Growing in Size and no Files are Being Removed (4252253)

XML files are continually being added to the Archive Manager Export directory and no messages are being removed from it.

No File System Data Loader has been configured to remove the XML files from the directory and input them to the Archive Manager database.

Resolution 1

1. Stop the Archive Manager Exchange Store Manager Service.
2. Restart the Archive Manager Data Load Service in services.msc.
3. Monitor the Export directory to see if files are purging successfully.

If the issue persists, please complete Resolution 2.

Resolution 2

Open Internet Explorer and navigate to Archive Manager | Administration | Data Loaders.

Verify the following conditions are set:

1. A File System Data Loader has been created and is set to Active.
2. The File System Data Loader has the correct Path. This should be the Archive Manager Export directory (ie: C:\ArchiveManager\Export).
3. The Archive Manager Data Load Service is started in services.msc
4. Check Event Viewer for Archive Manager Data Load errors. If an error is found, search the Quest Knowledge Base using the specific error.

*Please note that if any changes are made to the File System Data Loader including activating or changing the export directory path, the Archive Manager Data Load Service will need to be restarted.
