Error: "Failed to find agent installer for HostAgents on FglAM..." (4252067)

Error: "Failed to find agent installer for HostAgents on FglAM..."

When adding a new database instance to Foglight monitoring the following error appears:

"Failed to monitor <instance name> Failed to prepare Installer agent DBSS-Installer on FglAM <FglAM name>  Reason: Failed to find agent installer for HostAgents on FglAM <FglAM name>"

Cause 1

HostAgents and/or Infrastructure cartridges are disabled.

Cause 2

HostAgents.gar has not been deployed to the FglAM (Management Server) or the version of the gar file doesn't match with the current version of the Infrastructure cartridge.

Cause 3

The Agent Manager version is not compatible with the current version of the Infrastructure cartridge.

For example, if the FMS has been upgraded to version 6.3 and the Agent Manager cartridge version 6.3 has not yet been installed and deployed, the HostAgents.gar package can't be upgraded because Infrastructure cartridge 6.3 is incompatible with Agent Manager version 6.1 or earlier.

Resolution 1

Please make sure that the HostAgents and Infrastructure cartridges are enabled:

1. Go to "Administration | Cartridges | Cartridge Inventory"
2. Find the HostAgents and Infrastructure cartridges 
3. If the cartridges are disable, please enable first the HostAgents cartridge and then the Infrastructure cartridge

Resolution 3

1. Upgrade the Agent Manager (KB 4309631) to a compatible version
2. Upgrade the Host Agents package (KB 4295876) (no need to install a newer version if the Infrastructure cartridge)
