A Domino server configured to perform external free/busy lookups for users using a Foreign Domain document could stop performing the external lookup when a Foreign SMTP Domain document exists for the forwarded SMTP domain.
Person document attributes are set to forward all data and free/busy information to another domain/domino server. This can be set with Notes Migrator For Exchange
Mail System is set to Other Internet Mail
Mail Forwarding Address is set to User@ForwardSMTPDomain.com@DominoDomain
Calendar Domain is set to the name of the Foreign Domain
Domain is Blank
MailFile is Blank
When a forwarded user is added to a calendar appointment with the Foreign SMTP Domain in place, the debug console window (set conf debug_sched_all=1) does not show the user being looked up at all.
This is not a Quest Coexistence Manager for Notes defect but rather a Domino configuration issue.
WORKAROUND
Add a * to the Foreign SMTP Document (for example *subdomain.domain.com) on the routing tab for the field "Internet Domain, and remove the QCALCON NoteSchedGateway from the notes.ini on the Domino server hosting QCALCON.
