Change: Options GUI: In the list parentheses control a 6th mode has been added, as it was missing. Mode 2 corresponds to mode 4, and mode 3 to mode 5. A mode matching mode 1 was missing. Now this mode has been created as mode 4, and the former 4 and 5 have moved to 5 and 6. So matching pairs are now 1-4, 2-5 and 3-6. INI values are updated automatically.

A hotfix is available on SupportLink that addresses this issue.
Follow the link to the Patches section of 9.7.2 on SupportLink:
NOTE:Please download and reviewthe ReadMe.htm before applying the hotfix.
To install this hotfix,follow the steps below:
1.) Shutdown all instances of Toad for Oracle. Go to your installation directory of Toad for Oracle 9.7.2.5 and rename QP5.dll, FmtOptions.exe to QP5.old , FmtOptions.old.
2.) Extract QP5.dll and FmtOptions.exe from the zip file to your desktop. NOTE: If you extract directly to your Toad 9.7 installation Directory then skip step 3
3.) Copy both the QP5.dll and FmtOptions.exe to your Toad for Oracle 9.7.2.5 install directory (where the current QP5.dll and FmtOptions.exe reside).
4.) Windows will ask if you want to replace the files. Click Yes button.
5.) Start up Toad for Oracle.
To determine if this hotfix is installed, do the following:
1. Check that version on both the QP5.dll and FmtOptions.exe is 5.126
