When exporting table as a flat file, the null date fields is populated with '12-30-1899' instead of being blank.
Steps to replicate:
1. Create a table with a date field. Do not populate this field with any data.
2. Go to Database > Export > Table as Flat File
3. The resulting flat file export should display the blank date columns with '12-30-1899'.
WORKAROUND:
1. Open a new Schema Browser window.
2. Right-click a table name and select "Save as Delimited Text" The resulting null date fields will show up as blanks instead of '12-30-1899'.
STATUS:
This issue is fixed in Toad for Oracle 9.1.0.62. This version can be downloaded at http://questsupportlink.quest.com/prod_upgrade_alert.asp.
