DellFileLogMonitorAgent generating credential alarms -
Description
A newly created DellFileLogMonitorAgent is running and collecting data, but is generating credential alarms for unrelated hosts. -
Cause
The DellFileLogMonitorAgent has a long list of hosts added to the logHostsList in it's Agent Properties, some of these hosts do not have credential mappings -
Resolution
RESOLUTION 1:
Remove the 'extra' hosts from the logHostsList
1. From Agent Status, select the relevant host and click Edit | Edit Properties
2. Edit the logHostsList and remove any unwanted hosts
3. Save changes
4. Deactivate & reactivate agent
RESOLUTION 2:
Create credential mappings for the hosts within the logHostsList
