FglAM will not start after upgrade to 5.6.7 on AIX (4249382)

Upgrading or installing Foglight Agent Manager (FglAM) on AIX fails with the following:

Manually starting of the fglam (fglam --daemon) produces following errors:

Server01(foglight):/opt/quest_software/fglam/bin> fglam

exec(): 0509-036 Cannot load program fglam because of the following errors:

        0509-130 Symbol resolution failed for fglam because:

        0509-136   Symbol __pthread (number 160) is not exported from

                   dependent module /usr/lib/libpthreads.a(shr_xpg5.o).

        0509-192 Examine .loader section symbols with the

                 'dump -Tv' command.

CAUSE 1:

The AIX Server is not patched high enough to support Java 6.

CAUSE 2:

The AIX version is not support by the FglAM (e.g. AIX 5.3).

1.Run the following on the AIX host:

oslevel - s

2. Compare the output with IBM's Java SE minimum AIX Support Level Graph:

3. Patch the AIX host to the required level. For example, AIX 5.3 should be patched to at least TL9 SP1.  Do check the FglAM version Release Notes you are installing if a particular AIX version is still supported.
