A connection to the remote host could not be established. Windows returned error code 0x8001ffff [Caused by: An internal error occurred. [0x8001FFFF]]

Cause
Not enough File Descriptors available
In the FglAM log we see lots of “Too many open file” errors

javax.xml.bind.JAXBException: Could not write to /quest/foglight_agent_manager/state/default/credentials/credential.cache.xml

[java.io.FileNotFoundException: /quest/foglight_agent_manager/state/default/credentials/credential.cache.xml (Too many open files)] -
Resolution
Please follow the steps below:
- Open /etc/init.d/quest-fglam for editing.
- Mark as comment the ulimit -n 512 line or extend the limit
- Save the file
- Restart fglam
