When Spotlight on Messagingis installed on a 64 bit system, when you try to launch the OCS administration tools from the Spotlight Management console you get the following error:
Office Communication Server Administrative snap-in is not installed. Install the snap-in using the Office Communications Server 2007 or the Office Communications Server 2007 R2 Deployment Wizard.
When the OCS Administrative tools are installed on a 64 bit system, the files are placed in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 directory.
The path that to the MSC files that Spotlight on Messaging is looking for to be able to launch the OCS administration tool is as follows:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007\WRTCSnap2.msc
Work around:
Copythe C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 directory andpaste it to C:\Program Files\Common Files\
This will place the WRTCSnap2.msc file and other dependant files in the proper location where Spotlight is calling for them. The OCS administration tools should now correctly launch from the Spotlight Management Console.
