How to Activate the Toad for Oracle Sensitive Data Protection Module

Activate the Sensitive Data Protection Module in Toad for Oracle. 

The module requires a valid license key and a supported version/edition of Toad for Oracle to be enabled. If the correct version or license is not used, the module cannot be activated.

If Toad for Oracle is already installed:

1. Open Toad for Oracle.
2. Navigate to Help → About.
3. Verify that the version is 13.1.1 or greater and that the edition supports the Sensitive Data Protection Module (e.g., Professional, Xpert, Developer, DBA).
4. Go to Help → Licensing or select the Licenses tab from the About window.
5. Click Add License.
6. Enter the provided License Key and Site Message.
7. Apply the license.
8. Verify that the Sensitive Data Protection Module is now enabled.

If Toad for Oracle is NOT installed:

1. Download Toad for Oracle version 13.1.1 or greater from the official Quest website.
2. Run the installer.
3. During installation, navigate to the Product Licensing screen.
4. Click Add License.
5. Enter the provided License Key and Site Message.
6. Complete the installation process.
7. After installation, open Toad for Oracle.
8. If required, repeat the steps to add the Sensitive Data Protection Module license key.
9. Verify that the module is activated successfully.

To verify if you’ve successfully registered your Toad Sensitive Data Protection key, please look at:

1. Toad Sensitive Data Protection add on will be display in the License | About window.
2. After making a database connection with Toad, go to the menu Database | Report , the "Sensitive Data Protection Search" will be enable.

 

The Sensitive Data Protection Module requires a compatible edition of Toad for Oracle. Some licenses may include two keys: one for Toad for Oracle and one for the module. The installer automatically enables features based on the license provided. A License Key is typically an alphanumeric string, and the Site Message is usually the company name.
