Does Recovery Manager for Exchange support EMC Legato Networker in a Direct Access method to restore backups of Exchange 2010?
Recovery Manager for Exchange (RME) does not currently support restore of Exchange 2010 backups with the Direct Access method.
The only supported method is via Exchange Emulation.
More specifically, VSS backups are supported via Exchange emulation if all these conditions are true:
- Backed up Exchange Server version is Exchange Server 2007 (without SP or with SP1, SP2, or SP3) or Exchange Server 2010 (without SP or with SP1 or SP2).
- Recovery Manager computer runs the same or a later version of Windows as the backed up Exchange Server.
