Description
Migration Manager for Exchange legacy agents start logging: "CBaseApp::Init Error 6401 Outlook Profile '' does not exist. Please refer to Target Exchange 2016 Environment Preparation or Migrating to Microsoft Office 365 documentation for details on creating required profiles with Outlook 2013 or Outlook 2016" after upgrading from MMEX 8.12 or earlier to MMEX 8.13 or MMEX 8.14 -
Cause
The issue has been registered as a defect MMEX-4611 and can only occur if all of the below conditions are met:
1) Exchange 2003 server is used as an agent host server.
2) Legacy agents (Mail Source Agent, Mail Target Agent or Calendar Synchronization Agent) are installed on Exchange 2003 server.
3) MMEX 8.13 or MMEX 8.14 is being used.

Resolution
There are two possible work arounds for this issue.
1. Use standalone (non-Exchange) agent host servers to copy mailbox data from Exchange 2003.2. On the agent hosts (Exchange 2003 servers used as agent hosts) create the following "fake" registry key, so that the agents stop searching for Outlook Profile:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Clients\Mail\ExchangeMAPIand add String value DLLPathEx with non-empty value (for example, 1)Disclaimer: Quest does not provide support for problems that arise from improper modification of the registry.
