Get Ora-03113 or Ora-12640 error using dblink from 8i to 10g database
Description

When running a query with a dblink from an 8i to 10g database, the query returns an "Ora-03113: end-of-file on communication channel" or "Ora-12640: Authentication adapter initialization failed" error. The same query works in sqlplus and versions of Toad for Oracle prior to v12.0.

This same issue can happen using Import Table Data as well.
Resolution

WORKAROUND:
None

STATUS:
Waiting for a fix to be released in a future version of Toad for Oracle.
