Get "The profile for the user is a temporary profile" during installation and launching
Description

When installing into a Citrix or vWorkspace virtualization environment, the following Toad error message is encountered.

“CryptographicException. The profile for the user is a temporary profile.”

Then, when attempting to launch Toad after installation, a similar error message is encountered and Toad fails to open.
Cause

Toad Data Point 3.3 and Toad for SQL Server 6.0 do not support temporary or mandatory profiles on Citrix or vWorkspace.

Resolution

WORKAROUND:
In a Citrix or vWorkpsace deployment that requires the use of temporary or mandatory profiles, use:
Toad Data Point 3.2 (or below).
Toad for SQL Server 5.7 (or below)
STATUS
Issue fixed in version 3.4 of Toad Data Point and 6.1 of Toad for SQL Server.
