Description: In Web Portal I am getting error “user is not allowed to view the configuration” when Guest Users are trying to login. You also see in the folder settings the users have no roles/group assigned under the security setting and there was light gray text in the Viewer box that looks like “Everyone” has access.
Solution:
To resolve the login error, make sure the user Role (Group) is granted to that configuration, in addition, please check if you have permission set on the folder level, if so, open the settings on the top most folder of your hierarchy and manually add the “Guest” role that so users are assigned to that folder structure. Make sure user have Guest as there right in Web Portal. NOTE: Permission in Setting are not automatically inherited from high Hierarchy, you need to set the user (or Role) in setting to grant them access permission
