I upgraded to the new version of Toad for Oracle on my machine, but when it is launched it still shows the old version number. I checked and there is only one version of Toad for Oracle installed on the machine and it is the old version. I tried to install it again, but the installer said it was already installed and would not let me install it again.
Toad will need to be uninstalled through the Quest Installer and then re-installed. Here are directions on how to do this.
How to Completely UnInstall Toad & Re-Install Toad:
*WARNING - THIS WILL DELETE TOAD FOLDER. PLEASE BACK-UP WHERE NECESSARY!!!
These are the folders that users might want to save before completely uninstalling Toad.
-SAVEDSQL.XML (This file contains all of your SQL statements)
-CONNECTIONS.INI (This file contains all your connection entries)
-CONNECTIONPWDS.INI (This file contains the connection passwords, if set to be saved)
