The DataGuard button is greyed out in the Spotlight home page. Is there a way to determine if Data Guard is enabled? -
Resolution
RESOLUTION 1:
If connected to a RAC environment, the Data Guard button is grayed out by design. Per the release notes | known issues, it states, "The Spotlight on Oracle Data Guard Standby icon is disabled for a connection to an instance that is part of an Oracle RAC cluster. This is by design. The metrics would not be accurate if the primary connection was not Oracle RAC. If the primary connection was to an Oracle database then the metrics would not be for the whole cluster."
RESOLUTION 2:
A message in the logs may appear as such, "The number of Oracle servers that can be previewed has been exceeded." Enter in a new trial key or enter in a permanent key to allow more Oracle connections to be monitored.

The query which Spotlight uses to determine if DataGuard is enabled is: SELECT dest_id, dest_name, destination, db_unique_name FROM v$archive_dest WHERE target= 'STANDBY' AND schedule='ACTIVE' AND dest_name LIKE 'LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_%'; Please run this on the primary database and ensure it returns data.
