When trying to change shortcut keys, either nothing happens or it changes to ctrl+ctrl or shift+shift -
Description
When trying to add or change a shortcut key to a single key, like F9 or F5, nothing happens.When trying to add or change a shortcut key to ctrl+ it just displays ctrl+ctrl.When trying to add or change a shortcut key to shift+ it just displays shift+shift. -
Cause
Toad for Oracle 13.0 will not allow users to add or change a shortcut key to a shortcut key that is already being used by another feature. In previous Toads, users could change a shortcut key to one that already existed and it would put an asterisk in the Conflict column, so users would know the same shortcut existed for two different features. -
Resolution
WORKAROUND:Find the feature that is already using the shortcut keys that you want to use and remove the shortcut keys from that feature. Then add the shortcut keys to the feature you want them for.STATUS:This issue is fixed in Toad for Oracle 13.2. This version can be downloaded from the downloads section of our website, which you can access by clicking here. -
