Toad for Data Analysts flooding firewall with undesired/unwarranted traffic -
Description
When launching Toad for Data Analysts (TDA), it attempts to make some TCP/SMB connections to the target database server even if the auto-connect option is turned OFF.
The unsolicited traffic is evident when monitoring it using Wireshark while starting TDA. -
Cause
Product defect.

Resolution
WORKAROUND
Delete the connection profile after using it in TDA and recreate it only when needed.
STATUS
Waiting for fix in a future release of Toad for Data Analysts. -
