Description
The Spotlight Diagnostic Server in 11.6 is causing deadlocks in SQL Server.
After killing the Spotlight session from SSMS and restarting SQL services, it temporarily fixes it, but the issue is seen in many servers.

Resolution
WORKAROUND:
In order to prevent the deadlocks from DS, please uncheck the option “Store report data in the Spotlight Statistics Repository” for the 'SQL Table Summary' collection in the Configure | Scheduling window, for all affected instances.The attached script is a replacement for the one with the issue and can be used to replace the old one ({DS installation}\Agent\conf\Package\sqlserver_spotlight\2005\ QS_AllTablesBySize.sql). Please restart the Diagnostic Server after making this change.
