When copying over the Connectionpwds.ini file from one machine to another the following message is given:
"Invalid file, C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle\User Files\CONNECTIONPWDS.INI.This file cannot be shared among different machines for security reasons.Passwords will not be loaded and file will be replaced."
Is there a way to get around this to copy the file over to another machine?

Connection passwords are stored in the connectionpwds.ini file in newer versions of Toad for Oracle (starting with version 9.7). This file is encrypted for security reasons. It is associated to the corresponding connection.ini file. These two files (connection.ini file and connectionpwds.ini) work in tandem to enforce security. With Toad for Oracle 9.7, the security was associated to the corresponding connection.ini file that contains the general connection history and the computer the file it was created on.
Starting with Toad for Oracle 10.1 it is possible to migrate the saved connection passwords from one computer. The only condition is the same Windows OS user must be used. If you are using Toad 9.7 or 10.0 you will need to upgrade to 10.1 be able to migrate the file between different machines.
