Title

The Archive Database will not upgrade. Error: "Database upgrade failed."
Description

Attempting to upgrade an archive database running Change Auditor Client may fail immediately after clicking "OK" to perform the database upgrade. The scripts do not execute, and the Change Auditor Client log contains no errors.
Cause

User Account Control (UAC) if enabled may cause the scripts to fail and not upgrade takes place.
Resolution

WORKAROUND 1:

1. Navigate to Change Auditor Client in the Start Menu.
2. Right-click and select "Run as Administrator.
3. Attempt the upgrade again.

WORKAROUND 2:

1. Navigate to \Program Files\Quest\ChangeAuditor\Client\.
2. Right-Click on ChangeAuditor.exe and select "Properties".
3. Select "Compatibility" and enable "Run this program as an administrator".
4. Optionally click "Change settings for all users" and enable "Run this program as an administrator".
5. Click "OK" two times.
6. Attempt the upgrade again.
