Error ORA-0918 viewing Top 10 Sessions when connected to Oracle 12.2.0.1 -
Description
When you connect Spotlight 10.3.3 to Oracle 12.2.0.1 on Windows 2012, and then click on the Top sessions menu, Spotlight errors with ORA-0918. -
Cause
Spotlight 10.3.3 has not yet been tested on Oracle 12.2 -
Resolution
Oracle 12.2 will be supported in v10.4 which will release in Q2 FY18.
WORKAROUND:
Please find attached a file named sql12.dat which contains the updated SQL for Oracle 12.2. This will fix the Top Session error in Spotlight.
Please go to: (Install location)\Spotlight on Oracle 10.3\Plug-ins\SoO , then backup the original sql12.dat file, and then paste in the new file (attached to the KB article)
STATUS:
Issue fixed in version 10.4. The latest version of Spotlight on Oracle can be downloaded here -
