Description
The attempt of migrating contacts (address books) with Notes Migrator for Exchange (NME) might fail and the following error might be displayed in the migration logfile.

Cause
NME attempts to migrate the data through the filesystem instead of going through the domino server path. However, when migrating contacts, there is no option to select the way how NME accesses the mail file in question (through Domino server or through file system) - this option is only available for migrating mail / calendar items.
When mail items were migrated in a previous run, with the option to migrate a local NSF file through the filesystem, NME will save this setting for subsequent migration runs. If, afterwards in a subsequent migration, only contacts are migrated but the NSF file is only accessible through the domino server, then the above error will be displayed in the log and the migration attempt will be unsuccessful.

Resolution
WORKAROUND
- Run a temporary mail data migration into a PST file, using the setting to migrate through the domino server.
- Afterwards, run the contacts migration.
The Development team has logged the change request CR95123, which will be evaluated for a future release.
