The following error occurred while processing a data object for a given gathering: The RPC server is (4235191)

When running the Windows Mobile Default Gathering the following error is logged for the IIS Web Sites and IIS Server Properties tasks:

"The following error occurred while processing a data object for a given gathering: The RPC server is unavailable"

The IIS Server Properties task may also have the following warning logged:

"The following error occurred loading the time zone configuration data from the IIS server [The RPC server is unavailable. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800706BA)].  IIS logs using the IIS Log File Format will not be processed because the local times in the log file can not be converted to UTC time"

Use the following steps to determine if WMI communication from the MessageStats server to the CAS servers is working:

1. Log on to the MessageStats server as the MessageStats service account
2. Open a command prompt
3. Type wbemtest and hit enter
4. Click Connect
5. For the namespace enter \\CASServerName\root\CIMV2
6. For Impersonation Level select Impersonate
7. For Authentication level select Packet privacy
8. Click Connect
9. If the connection fails there is a communication issue between the MessageStats server and the CAS server that needs to be researched
10. If the connection is successful, Click Query
11. In the Enter Query box type select * from Win32_TimeZone
12. Click Apply
13. If the query fails confirm the MessageStats service account is a member of the local Administrators group on each Exchange server
