Cannot connect in Toad's native connection if database is setup without a password and no password is entered.
Description

Trying to connect to Hive via Toad's native Apache Hive option in Connection window gives an password error. Connection via ODBC works without issue. The database is set up to allow connection without password. But in Toad's native connection window. leaving the password field blank or using "" give the following error:
"You need to enter a password for the SSH connection"
or
"Got error 4200 '{0} Authentication Failed (username/password)' from HUB."
It is set to "connect with SSH" and "Authenticate with a password" instead of a key file.
There is no option to specify HiveServer2.
Cause

HiveServer2 connection not supported with 3.7 and older.
Resolution

Please upgrade to Toad Data Point 3.8 for support of connect to server type HiveServer2. The option is available in version 3.8 and newer, under the Server tab. In the Authentication tab, choose "username and password" and leave the password blank.
