Storage: Why is pool summary displaying more pools than expected
Description

When monitoring EMC storage arrays, Foglight Management Server lists the Snap pool and Spare storage Devices that are not listed under UniSphere tool.
Navigation Panel | homes| Storage Environment | Monitoring | Storage Array | Select the storage array | Pools | pool Inventory.
Example:

POOL_1, POOL_2, SNAP_POOL_1, SNAP_POOL_2
Cause

By default Foglight captures those additional Storage Pools and displays them in the inventory, like the Snap storage Pool and the Spare device Storage Pool.
Resolution

The additional storage pool listed are the Snapshot pool on EMC and the Spare Storage device pool are the devices set up for automatic replacement if a production disk fail.

Foglight does not have a parameter or switch to dishonor those Storage Pools listed in the inventory collection.
