Unable to Alter dataset template (4232340)

Unable to update retention period when trying to alter dataset template.

It is already set to retention type period, but the period setting needs to be updated. In object explorer, Under Template | Retention, make a change to the "period" value. Verify the period value under Syntax shows properly.

But then, go to SQL Script or click Show Script at bottom. It notes "No changes detected". And the alter window cannot execute (button grayed out) and the change cannot be applied.

How do you change the period setting for the retention?

WORKAROUND:

Edit the column RETPD of the table QUEST.QCUTL200_TEMPLATES directly. This can be done within Toad. Just access the table in object explorer, and look up the specific record for the template you wish to alter in the data tab on the right.

STATUS:
