After upgrading from Toad Data Point 3.2, the way to specify wich file to attach to an email seems to have changed.
In automation, include an activity to "Select to File" and prepends a bind variable to the output file name (i.e. TestExport#testvar#.xlsx). How do can that file be specified in an "Email" activity to be attached to the email?
But in newer Toads, the attachment window no longer show the filename with the variable in the list of available options (left column), even after running the script. There is no way to specify the filename with the variable. After creating the automation, the email still sends out, but the file needed is not attached to the email as expected, and there is no error during the run of the automation.
Even if trying to manually entering the variable into the filename through the Add Attachments dialog, the set up is accepted, but there is still no attachment and no error.
WORKAROUND:
To specify the attachment, open the attachment window. In the left column choose the file and click the arrow to move it to the right column. Toad will detect the file needed and attach as expected.
Note using the browse button to access the "Add Attachment" dialogue window and specifying the file name with variable will not attach properly.
STATUS:
Waiting for fix in a future version of Toad Data Point.
