While trying to export the results of a data compare to Excel (after walking through the Data Compare Wizard without issue), a user gets the error message “Unable to generate excel file. Probably there is not enough Ram available”. The machines has a good processor speed and should have plenty of onboard RAM. There is no other RAM intensive applications or processes running.
The compare results are over 100 columns with a few thousand rows returned. There are no large data types or values.
With less columns it works fine (export from compare). Exporting large data sets (lots of columns) from the editor/grid to Excel, it works without issue.
Data set too large for the export in the compare feature.
