When logging on as a domain user, this error message is displayed:
"Desktop Authority has encountered a critical error while processing profile"
If logging on as an administrator, the message goes away and will not show again even if the user logs on subsequently.
When the administrator logs on, the service is installed and the machine operates normally thereafter. The issue may be that the Windows Firewall is enabled and it prevents the client from updating properly.
Disable the Window Firewall or enable the port 139 and port 445. These ports are required to install the service on the client.
