How is a TIBCO agent installed?

What are the installation steps for a new TIBCO agent in the Foglight Management Server (FMS)?

TIBCO is a very complicated system and configuring the administration domain and full range of components is beyond the scope of this document. However, it is strongly recommended that the below prerequisites are met before beginning an installation and a TIBCO admin is on hand to assist with troubleshooting.

1. TIBCO Prerequisites
   1. The client is using TIBCO Administrator and an administration domain for the environment has been created.
   2. If EMS is being used as a transport, it should be registered with the domain.
   3. A Hawk agent has been configured to monitor the local machine and domain.
   4. The Monitoring Management plugin has been installed to TIBCO Administrator and is visible in the TIBCO Administrator web console. This plugin is invaluable for ensuring that Hawk agents are running and microagents are responding to method invocations. If this is not working correctly, it is very unlikely that the Foglight for TIBCO solution will be able to monitor the domain.
2. FglAM
   1. It is strongly recommended that at least for a POC, the FglAM is installed on the Administrator machine. The agent requires access to certain jar files present in the Administrator installation and communication with the domain may be impaired if the agent is hosted on a remote server. 3. Foglight Console
   1. Install TIBCO cartridge.
   2. From the Agent Manager dashboard, deploy agent package.
   3. From the Agent Status dashboard, create agent.
   4. Configure necessary agent properties (described below) and activate.
