Whenever a migration or full synchronization is done, the Mailbox limits of the source mailbox are being synced to the target mailbox. How can this be stopped from happening?
The properties of a migration or synchronization have an option where attribute can be skipped if needed.
For Migrations:
In Object Processing Options select the Attributes to Skip... button.
In the Attributes To Skip screen select the Show advance attributes check box which is located near the bottom of the screen.
Select the following attributes for the User and inetOrgPerson (if needed) Classes.
Select the OK button.
MDBStorageQuota = Issue Warning
MDBOverQuotaLimit = Prohibit Send
MDBOverHardQuotaLimit = Prohibit Send and Receive
mDBUseDefaults = Use mailbox database defaults
For Synchronization:
In AdvanceOptions select the Attributes to Skip... button.
In the Attributes To Skip screen select the Show advance attributes check box which is located near the bottom of the screen.
Select the above attributes for the User and inetOrgPerson (if needed) Classes.
Select the OK button.
Note: The settings for the migration are only applicable for that specific migration.If the migration is used as a template for the next migration,the skipped attributes will be copied to the new migration. The setting in the synchronization are universal for all syncs and re-syncs.
The skipped attributes can be saved to a text file. This allows the selected attributes to be retrieved if needed. To save the selections made, click on the Save Settings... button. A dialogue box will open allowing you to name the file and place the file where you would like.
