The agent is reporting that it cannot open the database, emwstat.dat for statistics in the log. For example the following errors are from the Mail Target Agent (MTA) log, EMWMTA.log.
"2/9/2009 10:15:11 AM CAgentStat::CPersistJet::Init Warning 100 Cannot open the database 'C:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64\Aelita Exchange Migration Wizard\Mail Target Agent\emwstat.dat' for statistics.
2/9/2009 10:15:11 AM CAgentStat::CPersistJet::SetDB Error 3024 Could not find file 'C:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64\Aelita Exchange Migration Wizard\Mail Target Agent\emwstat.dat'."
The database file, emwstat.dat has been deleted from the agent folder.
The quickest way is to copy the emwstat.dat file from another server which has the same type of agent installed. Please note that you cannot use the emwstat.dat file from another agent located on the same server that is not the same type. For example an emwstat.dat file from the Public Folder Target Agent (PFTA) will not work in the MTA. The emwstat.dat file is configured to works with the agent type it is packaged with and no other.
If the same agent type is not available on another server, then you can run the agent setup (install) file located in the Setup folder with the agents. Just double click on the agent set file and it will install the basic agent files onto the hard drive of the server. For example, if the EMWMTA.exe file located in the Setup folder is run, then the agent files are expanded to a folder on the server. The default location for the 32 bit system is C:\Program Files\Aelita\Migration Manager for Exchange MTA while for the 64 bit system it is C:\Program Files (x86)\Aelita\Migration Manager for Exchange MTA. This default location can be changed during the expansion.
The emwstat.dat file can then be copied to the MTA folder and the agent will then find the database for statistics and start using it.
Please see the attached WordPad document for the screen shots on running the setup application above.
