How to restore Trusts (4225785)

1. Open the Online Restore Wizard
2. Select the domain and click Next
3. Select the backup and click Next
4. Once the extraction is complete click Next
5. Uncheck Use agentless method to access domain controller
6. Provide Domain Admin credentials and click Next
7. Click Add | Browse
8. Check Show advanced objects
9. Expand the System container
10. Select the object with the name of the other domain that was a member of the trust and click OK
11. Click Properties
12. Confirm the Object-Class is top; leaf; trustedDomain and click Close
13. Click Next and complete the rest of the wizard
14. Once the restore has completed confirm the trust object was restored to the System container in AD and that the trust appears in Active Directory Domains and Trusts

Please Note: If the trust password that is maintained by AD (changed every 30 days by default) had changed after the backup that was used to restore was created, the trust will need to be removed and recreated manually as the passwords will not match and the trust will not function.
