Elevated privileges are required to open the Configuration Manager or Report Manager consoles -
Description
When trying to open the Configuration Manager or Report Manager you are prompted to for elevated privileges. -
Cause
The computer has User Account Control (UAC) enabled and the user trying to run the console does not have local Administrator rights on the computer. -
Resolution
When UAC is enabled, the account attempting to open the console needs to be a local Administrator on the computer.
If local Administrator rights cannot be granted, disable UAC. If UAC cannot be disabled, use runas to run the console with an account that has elevated rights.
