"There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into a drive [ Path ]" error appears 4 times on launch.
Description
The following error message is given 4 times on launch of Toad Data Modeler.
Error: There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into a drive \Device\Harddisk#\DR#
After clicking OK to each, Toad seemingly can be used without issue.
Cause
CAUSE 1:
TDM collects anonymous user data to help us further improve the application. The data collection is realized using a third party component, which causes the error.
CAUSE 2:
A card reader/DVD drive is assigned to a conflicting drive letter such as C:\. Or a removable/network drive is not currently connected.
Resolution
SOLUTION 1:
Disable User Feedback in Help Menu - User Experience Feedback Options. When disabled, the component no longer collects data and the error no longer pops up.
SOLUTION 2:
Change the Drive letter of the conflicting drive:
