How can the same query be run in different environments? Can the editor's connection be changed to another connection? -
Resolution
RESOLUTION 1:
In the Editor window, right click on the editor tab and choose to "Change Connection".
The connection will be changed over and the SQL can be executed in the new connection. Please note if there is any database specific objects or definitions, it will not be automatically changed by the editor window. These specifications will still apply.
Results will be displayed as it's own result set.
RESOLUTION 2:
In Toad for Sybase, SQL Server, DB2, and Toad Data Point, there is a tool "Multiple Database Query" that will allow you to specify a SQL statement to be executed across multiple databases.
With this tool, the results will be summarized into one set.

Additional Information
This may apply to various versions of Toad. This feature may also be limited by licensed version. In Toad for DB2, only a license key that includes the DBAdmin module will enable the Query Multiple Database option.
