Report Manager takes a very long time to open -
Description
The Report Manager takes a long time to open and peformance is very poor. You may also be unable to modify reports in the My Reports folder -
Cause
The data within the Report Manager is pulled from the database via the Enterprise Reporter services. If the ER server is not phyiscally close or has a slow connection to the SQL database then the time it takes to open the Report Manager will suffer. -
Resolution
If possible move the Enterprise Reporter database to an SQL server that is closer to the ER server with good network connectivity and low latency. For instructions on how to move the ER database please see:
