All of the agents (besides the Backup Agent) use a dynamically assigned port from the RPC Dynamic Port range. Is it possible to configure specific ports?
Resolution
RMAD 9.x and later allow you to configure the ports used by the different agents:
Open the RMAD console
Right click the top Recovery Manager for Active Directory node and select Settings
Select the Ports tab
You can specify the port to be used by: - Backup Agent (default is 3843) - Online Restore Agent (used by the Online Restore Wizard) - Offline Restore Agent (used by the Repair Wizard) - Management Agent (used to deploy the Backup, Online, Offline and Forest Recovery agents)
If you are using Forest Edition, you can configure the port used by the Forest Recovery agent as well:
