Error: "SQL LiteSpeed: Backup device name not supplied!"
Description

Backup jobs fail intermittently with the error " Backup device name not supplied!"
Error may display: Error: Maintenance plan 'All ad-hoc plans'.
Cause

Software defect
@filename paramter is not always passed by the UI.
Resolution

WORKAROUND: Verify the permissions on the shared network path specified in the backup task.
