LiteSpeed Enterprise Console can't register remote SQL Server
Could be caused by a named instance, non-default port, or a server on a different subnet / domain, or NETBIOS being disabled.
Resolution:
Launch Client Network Utility > click on the Alias tab > click on Add button > use named pipes and TCP/IP. Enter the IP address for the server name. Enter the port number.

Control Panel | Network Connections | Local Area Connection - right click on the local area connection and choose properties. Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), click on properties, Advanced button, WINS tab. There is a section at the bottom of this tab for NetBIOS settings. Enable NETBIOS for this server.
