When viewing the Mailbox Sent Audits report, some records may have an SMTP address for the Recipients column and others may show an X.400 address
The data for this report is collected from the Exchange Tracking Logs. The Tracking Logs for versions of Exchange prior to Exchange 2007 could have an SMTP address or X.400 address in the recipient field
If mailboxes for the recipients with an X.400 address in the Recipients column of the report are hosted on a version of Exchange prior to Exchange 2007, or ever were hosted on a version of Exchange prior to Exchange 2007, this would account for why the X.400 address is displayed
