Agent Manager (FglAm) fails to start
Description

Agent Manager (FglAm) fails to start.
Starting the FglAm in debug mode presents the following:
<fglam home>\bin\fglam -Dquest.debug=2
<INTERNAL LOG> <Date> <Timestamp> DEBUG2 [Startup Thread] com.quest.common.log - Ignoring exception: Could not find log resource bundle for com.quest.glue.common.config
<Date> <Timestamp> ERROR [Startup Thread] com.quest.glue.common.util.
MessageValidationHandler - A fatal error was encountered while validating the
XML structure: Invalid byte 1 of 1-byte UTF-8 sequence. at line 311 [311,1]
org.apache.xerces.impl.io.MalformedByteSequenceException: Invalid byte 1 of 1-byte UTF-8 sequence.
Cause

There is an issue with the fglam.config.xml at line 311. In this event, the fglam config was modified with invalid xml tags.
Another possible cause is that the fglam.config.xml file got deleted by accident.
Resolution

Workaround 1
Restore the fglam.config.xml from backup
Note: Foglight best practices would have the administrator to properly backup files before modifications.
Workaround 2
Restore the fglam.config.xml file from a last known good configuration file from a previous fglam support bundle
Note: Foglight best practices would have the administrator to create a support bundle prior to modifications.
Workaround 3
Contact Foglight support for assistance.
