Rules: Best practice to change mail recipient from default (SYSAMIN) for a specific rule.
Use Case:
If only certain Out of the Box (OOTB) rules need to have the mail recipient other than the default.
Navigation| Dashboards| Administration| Rules & Notifications| Manage Registry Variables
1. Create a new registry variable as a string and insert the desired email address
Navigation| Dashboards| Administration| Rules & Notifications| Rule Management
2. Clone and disable the original rule
3. Edit the clone
4. Navigate to the Conditions, Alarms & Actions tab
5. Navigate to the Severity Level Variable subtab
6. Modify the registry (usually var 4) that is tied to the mail recipient with the registry variable from step 1.
7. Save & Test
