How to make your shortcut key assignment permanent? (4223822)

User attempts to create or modify shortcut keys for TOAD, but it doesn't last to the next session of TOAD.

User forgets to select the "User default" as the Tools/Menu profile or forgets to create a new profile.

1. Go to View | Options.
2. In the left panel, select Toolbars/Menus.
3. In the right panel "Configurations" box, select "User default" or click on "Add" to create your own user.
4. Click on "Apply" and "OK."


1. Go to the main tool bar, right click and select Menu Shortcuts.
2. Select the icon or function that you want to add a shortcut too and hit the key(s) on the keyboard that you want to use as the shortcut.
3. The next time you launch TOAD, TOAD will ask you to select the shortcut user. Be sure to select "User default" or the user you created.

In version 8.0 of Toad, certain commands such as the F9 which is  "Execute All Statements" is not available to be replaced with another shortcut key.
