The following error appears in Spotlight after creating an Alarm Action:
"Monitored Server - SQL Server Alarm Action Failure Action 'Action/{1286FB88-F3F2-4F49-8D09-82D80B6CD447}/WriteToEventLogOperation/' failed : D:\Program Files\Dell\ or Quest Software\Diagnostic Server\Agent>eventcreate /t ERROR /id 1 /l Application /so 'Spotlight on SQL Server' /d '' ERROR: Value for '/d' option cannot be empty.Type 'EVENTCREATE /?' for usage. [1]"
Modify the Alarm Action rule(s) causing the error:
1. Open Configure | Alarm Actions option
2. Search for any rule containing the Write SQL Error Log action
3. Edit the rule and click 'SQL Error Log' link at the bottom pane
4. Fill in the Message field and enter a text. For example: {{CONNECTION_NAME}} raised an alarm: {{MESSAGE}}
5. Click OK to save.
Repeat above steps for all rules using the Write Error SQL Log action
