Resolution
The list of steps that sls_logshipping_restore_secondary performs:1. Checks the version of LiteSpeed on publisher server.2. Verifies that the subscriber database exists in sysdatabases.3. Checks LSBackupLog for files that are ready to be restored.4. Verifies that file exists on share.5. Writes restore script out to a file in the subscriber's base folder.6. Kills any connections to subscriber database.7. Runs restore.8. Inserts record into LSRestoreLog on publisher and subscriber.
If the network share cannot be reached then the restore tries to run, the job will fail.
Note: sls_logshipping_restore_secondary is run on the Subscriber. -
Additional Information
If the publisher goes down, they can run sls_logshipping_restore_ secondary on the Subscriber with the @recover=1parameter, which will restore all outstanding logs and full recover the database for use.
Note: T he names (table, field, store procedure, parameters, etc.) are case sensitive. Though some systems using the default (SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS) collation may be OK, some systems may have other collations.
